硅烷是一种分子结构,由一个中心硅原子和四个化学基团构成。这些取代基团可以是非反应性、无机反应性或有机反应性基团的任一组合。硅烷是最小的硅基分子结构,能够确保对基材的良好渗透深度。至少包含一个碳硅键结构的硅烷称为有机硅烷。在许多应用中,“硅烷”是一个通用术语,特指有机官能团烷氧基硅烷。此处,硅烷、烷氧基硅烷和有机官能团烷氧基硅烷这些术语可互换使用。通常出现湿气后,它们便与其自身以及任一羟基基团在基材内发生反应,形成有机硅树脂网状结构。这种较强化学键的形成提供了其持久的耐用性。

防水和表面保护

大自然是一位强劲的对手——水分入侵、阳光暴晒、风蚀、生物渗透、甚至意外污染损害。硅烷可为物体表面提供抗水抗污特性。附着在硅烷上的烷氧基甲硅烷基团使得它们能够渗透、固化和粘结诸多无机基材。这些独一无二的特性使得多功能耐用性解决方案成功保护产品免受水性及油性元素的侵害。

油漆、油墨和涂料

由于硅烷能够承受物理、化学、环境以及热降解,这些独特的能力使得硅烷非常适合高性能的油漆和涂料。它们可用于水性或溶剂型配方中,并与大多数粘合体系相溶,且适于低挥发性有机化合物、可持续配方的产品,其功能多样且使用简单。

硅烷在涂料方面的应用提高了粘附力、防潮、防化学物质、防紫外线辐射、耐磨的性能,并且还改善了填料的分散性。通过与氢氧金属化合物进行反应,硅烷也可作为中间体产出硅酸盐。这些材料用于防护涂料,如富锌底漆、砌体疏水性处理或直接复合成混凝土涂料,用以改善材料的物理特性及防水性。
